If your organization has Clock In & Clock Out Questions enabled, you'll be prompted to answer a short set of questions each time you clock in or out. This helps your company capture important information — like safety attestations or site conditions — directly at the time of your clock event.
Quick Answer
To answer Clock In & Clock Out Questions in Raken:
Open the Raken mobile app and navigate to your clock screen.
Tap Clock In or Clock Out.
A screen will appear with your organization's questions — answer each one.
Tap Save in the top right corner to submit your responses and complete the clock event.
Questions are assigned by your administrator and may appear at clock-in, clock-out, or both.
How to Answer Clock In & Clock Out Questions on Mobile
This feature is only available on the Raken mobile app.
Step 1: Navigate to Your Clock Screen
Open the Raken mobile app. Tap Time in the bottom navigation bar.
Team Members — tap Time, then tap the Clock tab
Project Workers — tap Time directly, which opens to the Clock view
Step 2: Select Your Project
Tap the Project button to select the project you are clocking into.
Step 3: Clock In or Clock Out
Tap the Clock In button to start your shift, or the Clock Out button when your shift is done.
Step 4: Answer the Questions
A screen will appear with the questions assigned to your clock-in or clock-out event. Answer each question as prompted. Response types may include:
Yes / No / N/A or Yes / No — tap your answer
Checkbox — tap to check off the item
Text Answer — type your response
Choice List — tap to select from a list of options
Signature — sign directly on the screen with your finger
Mandatory questions must be answered before you can complete the clock event. These are marked as required by your administrator.
Step 5: Save Your Responses
Tap the Save button in the top right corner of the screen. Your responses are submitted and your clock event is recorded.

Why am I being asked questions when I clock in or out?
Your organization has Clock In & Clock Out Questions enabled. These questions are set up by your administrator to capture important information — such as safety attestations or compliance checks — at each clock event.
What happens if I don't answer a mandatory question?
Mandatory questions must be answered before the clock event can be completed. You will not be able to save and proceed until all mandatory questions have a response.
Do I need to answer questions every time I clock in or out?
Yes, if your organization has questions configured for that clock event. Your administrator determines when questions appear — some organizations require them only at clock-in, others at clock-out, others at both.
Can I go back and change an answer after saving?
No. Once your responses are saved and the clock event is recorded, they cannot be edited from the mobile app. Contact your supervisor or administrator if a correction is needed.
I don't see any questions when I clock in. Why?
Your organization may not have Clock In & Clock Out Questions enabled, or questions may not be configured for the clock event you're completing. Contact your administrator to confirm.

Considerations
Clock In & Clock Out Questions must be enabled and configured by an Account Administrator in Company > Time > Policies > Settings > Verification.
Questions are assigned at the policy level — different employee groups can have different question sets.
Mandatory questions block the clock event until answered. Optional questions can be skipped.
The Time Clock add-on is required for this feature.
