How to Answer Raken Clock In & Clock Out Questions

In this article, learn how to answer clock in and clock out questions in the Raken mobile app when clocking in or out on the jobsite.

If your organization has Clock In & Clock Out Questions enabled, you'll be prompted to answer a short set of questions each time you clock in or out. This helps your company capture important information — like safety attestations or site conditions — directly at the time of your clock event.


Quick Answer

To answer Clock In & Clock Out Questions in Raken:

  1. Open the Raken mobile app and navigate to your clock screen.

  2. Tap Clock In or Clock Out.

  3. Answer each question on the screen that appears.

  4. Tap Save in the top right corner to submit your responses and complete the clock event.

Questions are assigned by your administrator and may appear at clock-in, clock-out, or both.


How to Answer Clock Questions on Mobile

This feature is only available on the Raken mobile app.

Step 1: Navigate to Your Clock Screen

Open the Raken mobile app. Tap Time in the bottom navigation bar.

  • Team Members — tap Time, then tap the Clock tab

  • Project Workers — tap Time, which opens to the Clock view

Step 2: Select Your Project

Tap the Project button to select the project you are clocking into.

Step 3: Clock In or Clock Out

Tap Clock In to start your shift, or Clock Out when done.

Step 4: Answer the Questions

A screen appears with the questions assigned to your clock event. Response types may include: Yes/No/N/A · Yes/No · Checkbox · Text Answer · Choice List · Signature. Mandatory questions must be answered before the clock event can be completed.

Step 5: Save Your Responses

Tap Save in the top right. Your responses are submitted and the clock event is recorded.

Why am I being asked questions when I clock in or out?

Your organization has Clock questions enabled. These are set up by your administrator to capture safety attestations, compliance checks, or other required information at each clock event.

What happens if I don't answer a mandatory question?

You will not be able to save and proceed until all mandatory questions have a response.

Do I need to answer questions every time I clock in or out?

Yes, if your organization has questions configured for that clock event. Your administrator determines when questions appear — some require them only at clock-in, others at clock-out, others at both.

Can I go back and change an answer after saving?

No. Once saved, responses cannot be edited from the mobile app. Contact your supervisor or administrator if a correction is needed.

I don't see any questions when I clock in. Why?

Your organization may not have Clock questions enabled, or they may not be configured for the clock event you're completing. Contact your administrator to confirm.
