Raken Time Clock lets every field employee capture their own time directly from the Raken mobile app — no supervisor needed. Once enabled, workers clock in and out on their own device, and all entries flow automatically into the Time tab and daily report. Time Clock reduces timecard errors, eliminates buddy punching, and frees supervisors to focus on the work.

Time Clock Add-On Features
Photo ID
Raken's AI Photo ID captures an image at clock-in and/or clock-out and matches it against the employee's profile to prevent buddy punching. Mismatches are flagged in Time > Review > Photo ID. See Raken Photo ID.
Clock In & Clock Out Questions
Custom questions can be assigned to clock-in and clock-out events to capture compliance information — such as safety checks. Responses are reviewed in Time > Review > Clock questions. See Clock In & Clock Out Questions.
Geofencing
Flags employees who clock in or out outside the project radius, sends location-based reminders, or prevents clock-in when off-site. Configured in the Time Policy Settings section. See Time Clock Geolocation Verification and Reporting.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
A worker doesn't see the Clock In button — why?
The worker must have the Project Worker role and Time Clock must be enabled in their assigned Time Policy. Confirm in Directory > Employees (role) and Company > Time > Policies (Time Clock toggle).
Can a supervisor clock out an employee who forgot to clock out?
Yes. From Time > Clock on the web or the Clock tab on mobile, click the ellipsis (...) next to the employee and select Clock out at. Enter the correct time and save.
What is the difference between a Project Worker and a Worker?
A Worker has no Raken login — their time is entered by a supervisor. A Project Worker has a limited Raken login (My Time and Schedule only) and can clock in and out on their own device using Time Clock.
Do Time Clock entries appear on the daily report?
Yes. All entries sync in real time to the Time tab and daily report — as long as the employee has an active signal.
Can I use Time Clock and supervisor entry at the same time?
Yes. Both can be enabled simultaneously in the same Time Policy. All entries appear together in the Time tab and daily report.
Does Time Clock work offline?
No. Time Clock requires an active connection. For offline time entry, use Daily Logs > Time Cards on mobile.
