Raken Kiosk turns any mobile device into a shared clock-in station for your entire crew. Workers find their name on the device, clock in and out, and log breaks — all without needing their own phone or Raken login. It's ideal for large crews or jobsites where individual devices aren't practical.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Setting Up Kiosk (Web)
Step 1: Enable Kiosk Mode in Your Time Policy
Log into the Raken web app. Click Company in the left side menu. Click Time, then click Policies. Click Edit policy on the relevant policy. In the Settings section under Time tracking, toggle on Kiosk mode.
Supervisor entries (detailed) must also be enabled for Kiosk mode to function. Ensure this toggle is also active before saving.
Click the orange Save & finish button.
Activating Kiosk in the Field (Mobile)
Once Kiosk mode is enabled in the Time Policy, a Project Manager, Project Administrator, or Account Administrator can activate it on the shared mobile device.
Step 2: Open the Kiosk Tool
Open the Raken mobile app on the device that will be used as the shared Kiosk. Tap Project tools and select the project for which Kiosk will be used. Tap the Kiosk tool icon.
Step 3: Create a PIN
The team member setting up Kiosk will be prompted to create a unique 4-digit PIN. This PIN locks the device in Kiosk mode and prevents workers from exiting the Kiosk screen.
Keep the PIN secure — only supervisors and administrators should know it. If the PIN is forgotten, it can be reset by going to More > Settings > Profile in the Raken app.
Step 4: Kiosk is Ready
A screen will appear showing the names of all employees assigned to the project. Workers can now use the device to clock in and out independently.
Using Kiosk in the Field (Workers)
Step 5: Select Your Name
The worker taps their name from the list on the Kiosk screen.
Step 6: Clock In or Out
The worker taps Clock In to start their shift or Clock Out when done. They can also log breaks, select a cost code, and select a shift if those options are enabled in the Time Policy.
If Photo ID is enabled in the Time Policy, workers will be prompted to take a photo of themselves at clock-in and/or clock-out for identity verification. See Raken Photo ID for details.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
Does Kiosk require the Time Clock add-on?
Yes. Kiosk is part of the Time Clock add-on. Contact your account manager to add it to your account.
Do workers need a Raken login to use Kiosk?
No. Workers clock in and out directly from the shared Kiosk device by selecting their name from the project list. They do not need their own device or Raken login.
What happens if the supervisor forgets the Kiosk PIN?
The PIN can be reset by the supervisor who set it up. Go to More > Settings > Profile in the Raken mobile app and update the PIN as needed.
Does Kiosk require location access?
Yes. For Kiosk to function, the device must always have location access enabled for the Raken app. This is required for geofencing and time entry logging. Location settings can be updated in your device's Settings app under Privacy > Location Services (iOS) or App permissions > Location (Android).
Can I use Photo ID with Kiosk?
Yes. Photo ID can be enabled alongside Kiosk in the Time Policy's Verification section. When enabled, workers will be prompted to take a photo at clock-in and/or clock-out for identity verification. See Raken Photo ID.
Can I use Kiosk and Time Clock at the same time?
Yes. Both Kiosk mode and Employee time clock can be enabled simultaneously within the same Time Policy.
