How to Use Safety & Quality Control Insights in Raken

Safety & QC Insights in Raken automatically aggregate checklist and quality control data from across all your projects into visual dashboards — so you can spot compliance gaps, measure performance trends, and identify which crews or projects need attention without running manual reports.

To access Safety & QC Insights:

  1. Log into the Raken web app and click Dashboard in the left navigation.

  2. Click Insights.

  3. Select Safety or Quality control from the sub-navigation.

  4. Use the time range and project scope filters to adjust the data shown.


Safety Insights

The Safety section of Insights tracks your HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) checklist program. It shows:

  • HSE overview — aggregate totals for checklists assigned, completed, and compliance percentage for the selected time period

  • HSE checklist completion — a chart of completed checklists over time, broken down by project, so you can see trends and identify gaps

  • HSE checklist completion by work unit — compliance rates broken down by crew or classification, showing which teams are consistently completing safety checks and which are falling behind

Safety Insights only populates when your team is actively completing safety-type checklists. If the charts are empty, confirm that safety checklists have been completed for the selected time period.


Quality Control Insights

The Quality control section tracks your quality inspection program. It shows:

  • Quality overview — totals for checklists assigned, checklists completed, checklist compliance %, issues raised, issues pending, and issues closed

  • Quality checklist completion — completion trends over time by project

  • Quality checklist completion by work unit — breakdown by crew or classification

Quality control Insights only populates from checklists created using a Quality type template. Safety-type checklists feed the Safety section; quality-type checklists feed the Quality control section.


Using Filters and Scope

Time Range

Click the time range dropdown in the top right to adjust the period — options include Today, Last 7 days, Last 4 weeks, This month, Last month, and Last 3 months.

Project Scope

Click the project scope dropdown to control which projects are included: All active projects, Active & inactive projects, Selected projects, or Selected project groups. Check Apply these settings to all charts to apply across every chart at once.

Exporting Chart Data

Click the download icon on any individual chart to export that chart's data as a CSV file.


Project-Level Safety Insights

In addition to the company-wide Insights dashboard, each individual project has its own Safety & QC Insights tab. Navigate to Projects > [Project] > Safety & QC > Insights to see safety and quality data scoped to just that project.


Troubleshooting & FAQ

Why are my Safety Insights charts empty?

Safety Insights only populates from completed Safety-type checklists. If your team hasn't completed any safety checklists in the selected time period, the charts will show no data. Check that checklists are being used and that the templates are set to the Safety type.

Why are my Quality control charts empty?

Quality control charts only populate from completed Quality-type checklists. If templates are set to Safety type, their completions will appear in Safety — not Quality control.

Is Safety & QC Insights available on mobile?

No. Insights are available on the Raken web app only. Mobile checklist completions feed the data that appears in Insights.

Who can see Safety & QC Insights?

Account Admins see data across all projects. Project Admins and Members see data only for their assigned projects.

Considerations

  • Safety charts pull from Safety-type checklists; Quality control charts pull from Quality-type checklists. Template type must be set correctly for data to appear in the right section.

  • Insights data reflects completed checklists only — in-progress or draft checklists are not counted.

  • Custom checklist templates require the Performance Plan. Raken library templates are available on all plans.
