Raken's Safety & Quality Control tools give your team everything they need to document hazards, complete inspections, conduct safety meetings, and report incidents — all in one place. Whether you're in the field on mobile or reviewing data in the office, Raken keeps your projects protected and your records audit-ready.


What's in Safety & Quality Control?

The Safety & QC section lives inside every project on both the web app and mobile app. It contains five tools:

Checklists

Checklists let your team complete digital safety and quality inspections directly from the field. You can use Raken's built-in template library — which includes activity risk assessments, fall protection checklists, crane and rigging inspections, and dozens more — or create your own custom templates. Checklists can be scheduled in advance, assigned to specific employees, and tracked for compliance across all your projects. Completed checklists generate PDF reports and feed into Safety Insights dashboards.

Toolbox Talks

Toolbox Talks let you schedule and deliver digital safety meetings to your crew. Choose from Raken's built-in topic library or create your own. Workers can sign off directly from the mobile app. Completed talks are tracked with attendance records and compliance reports — giving you documentation for every safety meeting conducted on every project.

Observations

Observations let supervisors and field crews log jobsite safety and quality concerns in real time. Each observation is categorized as positive or negative, assigned a type, priority, and location, and can be assigned to a team member for resolution. Observations can include photos and files as supporting documentation, and are tracked from open to closed.

Incidents

Incidents let you document any jobsite event that needs to be recorded — near misses, injuries, property damage, equipment failures, and more. Each incident record captures all relevant details including people involved, date and time, location, description, and attachments. Incidents are stored at the project level and accessible in reports.

Safety & QC Insights

Safety & QC Insights aggregate checklist and quality control data from across your projects into visual dashboards. Track HSE checklist completion rates, checklist compliance by work unit, quality control trends, open issues, and more — all without opening individual project reports.


Where to Find Safety & QC

On the Web

Log into the Raken web app. Click Projects in the left side navigation and select your project. In the project left side menu, scroll to Safety & QC. Sub-items: Checklists, Toolbox talks, Observations, Incidents, Insights.

On Mobile

Open the Raken mobile app and tap Project Tools. Select your project. In the project tools grid, tap Safety & QC. From there you can access Checklists, Toolbox talks, Observations, and Incidents.


Plan & Access Requirements

Most Safety & QC tools are available on all Raken plans. Managed Checklists — including the ability to create custom templates and schedule checklists — require the Performance Plan. All users assigned to a project can log observations and complete checklists and toolbox talks on mobile. Creating and managing templates, scheduling checklists, and reviewing reports requires the Account Administrator or Project Administrator role.
