Raken Resource Scheduling is now available. Plan and manage labor shifts across your projects from the web or mobile app — with real-time notifications to keep your field crews informed and your office aligned.

What Is Resource Scheduling?

Resource Scheduling is a dedicated scheduling tool built into Raken that lets supervisors and administrators create, assign, and manage shifts for employees, equipment, and materials across their projects. Whether you're planning a recurring crew rotation or a one-off pour day, Resource Scheduling keeps your entire team — office and field — on the same page.

Before Resource Scheduling, coordinating labor across multiple jobsites meant phone calls, spreadsheets, and hoping everyone showed up to the right place at the right time. Now it's all in one place, connected to your existing Raken workforce and project data.

What You Can Do with Resource Scheduling

Create and Manage Shifts

Build shifts with a title, project, date, start and end times, and a repeat interval — weekly or monthly. Assign employees individually or by crew, add cost codes, and set a color to distinguish shifts visually in the calendar. Save shifts as drafts to keep them hidden until you're ready to publish them to the field.

Real-Time Notifications

When a shift is created, updated, or changed, assigned employees receive automatic notifications via email and SMS. No phone calls needed — crews know their schedule the moment it's set, and they see upcoming shifts directly in the Raken mobile app.

Equipment and Materials on Shifts

Track equipment and materials directly within a shift to ensure the right resources are at the right place at the right time. This prevents double-booking of expensive equipment and ensures crews have what they need before they start. Requires Production Tracking to be active on your account.

Labor Hours Report

The Labor Hours Report compares scheduled hours from Resource Scheduling against actual time card hours — so you can catch attendance gaps, over-allocation, and production mismatches before they become payroll or budget problems. Available to accounts using both Resource Scheduling and Time Cards.

Considerations

  • Resource Scheduling requires the Performance Plan.

  • Automated notifications require a current email address or phone number in each employee's Raken profile.

  • Equipment and materials tracking on shifts requires Production Tracking to be enabled on your account.

  • The Labor Hours Report requires both Resource Scheduling and Time Cards to be active on your account.
