Construction sites don't always have reliable cell service or Wi-Fi — and Raken is built for that reality. The mobile app lets you document issues, log time, capture photos, and complete daily reports even when you're fully offline. Everything syncs automatically once you're back on a network.
Quick Answer
Raken automatically works offline on mobile. When you lose signal, the app saves your data locally. Once you reconnect to Wi-Fi or cellular, everything syncs automatically — no manual action needed.
How Raken Offline Works
When your device has no internet connection, Raken continues to function for cached projects. Any entries you create — notes, work logs, photos, time cards — are saved locally and sync to the web app as soon as connectivity is restored. By default, Raken caches your 5 most recently active projects.
How to Customize Offline Preferences on Mobile
Step 1: Open Settings
Open the Raken mobile app and tap More in the bottom navigation bar. Tap Settings.
Step 2: Open Offline Preferences
Tap Offline preferences.
Step 3: Select Projects to Store
Tap Store specific projects to manually choose which projects are cached for offline access.
Step 4: Refresh Cache (Optional)
Tap Refresh cache to clear stored offline data and force a fresh sync when back on a network.
