Large projects often need more than one report per day. Raken Segments let you divide your daily reports by project zone, work shift, or trade—so your documentation is organized exactly the way your project is.

Quick Answer

To set up Segments on a project:

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click Projects and open your project.

  3. Click Settings in the left side menu, then select Daily Reporting.

  4. Click the Segments tab.

  5. Check the box labeled Enable Segments.

  6. Name your segments, add more with the green + button, and click Save.

How to Set Up Segments on the Web

Step 1: Open Project Settings

Log into the Raken Web App. Click Projects in the left side navigation bar and select the project for which you want to enable Segments.

Step 2: Navigate to Daily Reporting Settings

Scroll down in the left side menu, click Settings, and select Daily Reporting.

Step 3: Open the Segments Tab

Click the Segments tab at the top of the Daily Reporting settings page.

Step 4: Enable Segments

Check the box labeled Enable Segments.

Step 5: Name Your Segments

Enter names for your segments (e.g., "Zone A", "Night Shift", "Concrete"). Use the green + button on the right to add as many segments as needed.

Step 6: Save

Click the orange Save button in the top right corner. Segments will appear on the project for Daily Logs, Time Cards, and Materials starting the following day.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

Why aren't my Segments showing up yet?

Segments become visible on the project starting the day after they are enabled. If you need Segments for an upcoming project, enable them ahead of time.

Can I add more Segments after initial setup?

Yes. Return to Settings > Daily Reporting > Segments at any time to add, rename, or remove segments.

What is the difference between Segments and Collaborator Reports?

Segments are for your internal team to produce multiple reports from within your organization for a single project. If you need to collect reports from outside collaborators (subcontractors), use Collaborator Reports instead.
