If your projects use Segments — separate daily report sections for different zones, shifts, or trades — you can filter and download reports for individual segments or all segments combined. This article explains how to view and download segmented daily reports.

Quick Answer

To view a daily report by segment, open your project, navigate to the daily log for the relevant date, and use the Segment dropdown at the top of the page to select the segment you want to view. To download, click the Reports button and select the segment from the dropdown.

How to View and Download a Single-Day Segmented Report

  1. Log into the Raken web app.

  2. Click Projects in the left navigation and select your project.

  3. Navigate to Daily Logs and use the calendar to go to the date you need.

  4. Use the Segment dropdown at the top of the Daily Logs page to select the specific segment you want to view.

  5. Click the Reports button in the top right corner and select Daily.

  6. In the modal that appears, use the segment dropdown to select a specific segment — or choose All to generate a single PDF with all segments in order.

  7. Click Download or Email report to receive it.

How to View Historical Segmented Reports

  1. Open your project and click Compliance in the left side menu.

  2. Click Completed to see all signed reports organized by year and month.

  3. Navigate to the relevant month — you will see a folder for each Segment as well as a folder for all segments combined.

  4. Click the report icon to open the PDF in your browser.

Tip: You can also access Super Daily reports and bulk-download all segment reports from the Compliance section.

How to Select a Segment on Mobile

  1. Open the Raken mobile app and select your project.

  2. In Daily Logs, use the Segment dropdown at the top of the screen to choose the segment that applies to your work.

  3. Log your Work logs, Time cards, Notes, Attachments, and Survey as normal and sign off when complete.

Note: Once you select a segment, the app will default to that segment the next time you open the project. If you don't see a Segment dropdown, confirm that Segments are enabled under Project Settings > Daily Reporting > Segments.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

I don't see a Segment dropdown on my project — why?

Segments must be enabled by an Account Admin or Project Admin under Projects > Settings > Daily Reporting > Segments. Once enabled, the dropdown appears on the following day.

What does the "All" option generate when downloading?

Selecting All in the download modal generates a single PDF that includes all segments in order for the selected date — useful for sharing a complete Super Daily-style report for that day.

Technical Specifications

  • Compatibility: Web app and mobile app (iOS 15+, Android 10+)

  • Offline Capability: Segment entries can be logged offline on mobile — syncs when connection is restored

  • Plan Required: Performance Plan required for Segments

  • Role Required: All users with project access (viewing); Account Admin or Project Admin (setup)

Considerations

  • Performance Plan required. Segments are only available on the Raken Performance Plan.

  • Segments must be enabled before the project starts for best results — once enabled, they appear the following day.

  • Each segment produces its own signed daily report. The "All" download option combines all segments into a single PDF.
