How to Use Raken Kiosk

What is the Raken Kiosk?

Traditionally the Raken app has allowed supervisors or foremen the ability to note the time a worker arrives and leaves on the job site. This can become complicated when working with a large team.

When Raken Kiosk is enabled on a device workers can clock in and out of a job on their own. Workers can also log breaks, cost codes and shifts.


How to activate the Raken Kiosk?

The Raken Kiosk can be enabled by an account or project administrator across multiple projects in your organization or on a project-by-project basis. Once enabled, a person with the Raken app in the field can open the Raken app and turn on Kiosk Mode. Below are the steps to activate the kiosk feature for all projects in a Raken account or for an individual project.

Company Level

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click on the "Company" tab at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the "Project Template" button.

  4. Click on the project template that is applied to those projects for which Kiosk needs to be enabled.

  5. Click on the drop down titled "Kiosk".

  6. Enable the option titled "Enable Kiosk for this project".

  7. Click the "Save" button at the top of the page.

  8. Follow the steps detailed in Enabling Kiosk Mode in the Field.

Project Level

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click on the "Project" tab at the top of the page.

  3. Select the project for which Kiosk needs to be enabled.

  4. Click on the "Settings" button at the bottom of the menu bar on the left side of the page.

  5. Click the option that is titled "Payroll and time"

  6. Click on the tab titled "Kiosk" near the top of the page.

  7. Enable the option titled "Enable Kiosk for this project".

  8. Click the "Save" button at the top of the page.

  9. Follow the steps detailed in Enabling Kiosk Mode in the Field.


Enabling Kiosk Mode in the Field

Once the Raken Kiosk has been enabled in a project's settings a field user can turn on Kiosk Mode on their mobile device.

  1. Open the Raken app.

  2. Select the project for which Kiosk will be used.

  3. Tap the Kiosk tool icon.

  4. The person setting up the Kiosk tool will create a unique four-digit pin to ensure that Kiosk mode is locked.

  5. A page will appear with the names of those people assigned to the project.

  6. Workers can then select their name from the list and clock in and out, log breaks, log tasks and log shift.
