Raken AI Photo ID help prevent time card theft by verifying the identity of the person who clocks in and out using the Raken app.

Buddy punching and timecard theft can be major drains to your organizations efficiency. Raken AI Photo ID helps your team verify the identity of those people that clock in and out using using Raken Time Clock.
AI Photo ID is available to all employees that clock in using Raken Time Clock or Raken Kiosk.


Enabling Raken Photo ID

Company Level

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click on the Company tab that is found at the top of the page.

  3. On the page that appears click on the option for Project Templates.

  4. Select the project template for which you would like to enable Photo ID as a time capture option.

  5. Click Edit.

  6. Click the option labeled Payroll and time.

  7. Click Track time and enable Track start and end times.

  8. Click Time Capture.

  9. Enable Time Clock or Kiosk.

    1. Once enabled you can chose to require employees to verify their ID during clock in and clock out or during clock in and clock/starting and ending breaks.

  10. Click the Save button in the bottom right corner of the page.

  11. Select the project template for which Time Clock or Kiosk is enabled.

  12. Apply the template to the desired projects.

Project Level

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click on the Projects tab that is found at the top of the page.

  3. Select the project for which you would like to enable Photo ID.

  4. Click the Settings menu on the left side of the page.

  5. Click the option labeled Payroll and time.

  6. Click Track time and enable Track start and end times.

  7. Click Time Capture.

  8. Enable Time Clock or Kiosk.

    1. Once enabled you can chose to require employees to verify their ID during clock in and clock out or during clock in and clock/starting and ending breaks.

  9. Click the orange Save button found in the top right corner of the page.


Using Raken Photo ID

When enabled Raken Photo ID captures an image of the person clocking in or clocking out of the Raken app when the kiosk or time clock feature is used. Once images are captured the Raken Web App can be used to view and confirm a users identity when clocking in or out.

Raken Web App

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click the profile button found in the top right corner of the page.

  3. Select the option labeled Timesheets.

  4. On the page that timesheets page that appears click the tab labeled Photo ID.

  5. The names of those people who have had their images captured clocking in or clocking out using Photo ID will be listed on the page that appears.

    1. To the right of the persons name you will find the number of photos that have been taken using Photo ID and the number of those photos taken are verified as the employee.

  6. You can view the individual photos taken by clicking on the persons name.

    1. On the page that appears you will see each individual image that has been captured.

      1. You can click on any image and Verify the image as the employee or override Photo ID and mark an image as invalid.

        1. By making these adjustments you are helping Raken learn what your employees look like and ensures Photo ID becomes better with time.

Raken Mobile App

  1. Log into the Raken Mobile App.

  2. Select the option found in the navigation bar for clocking in and out.

    1. Team Members will select the My Time option in the navigation bar.

    2. Workers will select the Clock In option in the navigation bar.

  3. Tap the Select Project button to choose a project to clock into.

  4. Tap the Clock In or Clock Out button; depending on your need.

  5. A screen will appear with a view of your devices front facing camera.

    1. The Raken app requires permission to your devices camera in order for Photo ID to capture an image.

  6. Ensure your face is centered in the camera and tap the shutter button found near the bottom of the screen.

  7. The image you capture will then appear and you will have the choice to Retake an image or Use Photo for Photo ID.

    1. If you select Retake you will be given the option to capture a new photo of your face.

    2. If you select Use Photo you will be successfully clocked in or out of the selected project.
