How to Complete Checklists in the Raken Mobile App

Checklists in Raken help your team stay compliant and document safety and quality checks directly from the field. This article walks you through how to access, complete, and sign off on checklists from the Raken mobile app.

  1. Tap Project tools, select your project, and tap Checklists.

  2. Tap the orange + and select a checklist template.

  3. Fill out each question and add attachments as needed.

  4. Tap Save to save as a draft or Sign and complete to finalize.


How to Complete a Checklist on Mobile

Step 1: Navigate to Checklists

Open the Raken mobile app. Tap Project tools and select your project. Tap Checklists from the project tools menu.

Step 2: Start a New Checklist

Tap the orange + button in the bottom right corner. Select the checklist template you want to complete from the list.

Step 3: Fill Out the Checklist

Fill out each question. Tap the paperclip icon to the right of any question to attach a photo or file as supporting evidence.

Step 4: Save or Sign and Complete

When finished, tap Save in the top right corner and choose your option:

  • Save as draft — saves your progress without completing the checklist. You can return to edit it later.

  • Sign and complete — finalizes the checklist with a signature. Once signed, the checklist is locked and cannot be edited.

Tip: Use Save as draft if you need to pause and come back. Once you select Sign and complete, no further edits are possible.


Viewing Completed Checklists

Completed checklists are listed in the Checklists section of your project. Tap any entry to view the submitted responses, attachments, and signature. Completed checklists also appear in the daily report PDF if the Completed checklists section is enabled in your project's report settings.


Troubleshooting & FAQ

I don't see any checklist templates to choose from — why?

Checklist templates are created and assigned by Account Admins or Project Admins from the web app. Contact your Account Admin to make sure templates have been built and assigned to your project.

Can I edit a checklist after signing?

No. Once a checklist is signed and completed, it is locked. If corrections are needed, contact your Account Admin — admins can delete the completed checklist from the web app so it can be resubmitted.

Where do completed checklists go?

Completed checklists are stored in the project's Checklists section and can be reviewed from both mobile and the web app. They can also be exported as part of Safety and Compliance Reports.

  • Offline Capability: Yes — checklists can be completed offline and sync when connection is restored

Considerations

  • Performance Plan required. Checklists are only available on the Raken Performance Plan.

  • Once a checklist is signed and completed, it cannot be edited. Use Save as draft if you need to pause and return.

  • Checklist type determines which Insights dashboard it feeds into — Safety, Environmental, and Equipment types appear in the Safety dashboard; Commissioning and Quality types appear in the QC dashboard.
