The Raken mobile app is where your field team logs their daily work. This article walks you through the app's layout so you can find everything you need and start logging in minutes.

Quick Answer

The Raken mobile app has four main areas in the bottom navigation bar:

  1. Project tools — daily reports, work logs, time cards, notes, attachments, safety, checklists, and more

  2. Time — crew time management, clock in/out, entries, summary, and review

  3. Schedule — view and manage scheduled shifts

  4. More — settings, notifications, profile, and messaging

The Bottom Navigation Bar

The bottom navigation bar is always visible and gives you access to the four main sections of the app:

  • Project tools — daily reports, work logs, time cards, notes, attachments, safety, checklists, documents, and more for your selected project

  • Time — crew time management, clock in/out, time card entries, summary, and review (Performance Plan)

  • Schedule — view and manage your scheduled shifts

  • More — settings, notifications, profile, messaging, and account options

Project Tools

Step 1: Select a Project

Tap Project tools in the bottom navigation bar. If no project is selected, tap Select project at the top of the screen — you'll see a list of recent and all active projects. Tap the project you want to work on.

Step 2: Access Project Tools

Once a project is selected, the Project tools screen shows all tools available for that project:

  • Daily logs — Work logs, Time cards, Notes, Attachments, Survey

  • Safety & QC — Checklists, Toolbox talks, Observations, Incidents

  • Tasks — View and complete assigned tasks

  • Documents — Access uploaded project files

  • Forms — Complete project forms

  • RFIs — View and respond to requests for information

  • Gallery — Browse project photos

  • Messages — Project-level messaging

The Time Tab

Tap Time in the bottom navigation bar. The Time tab is designed for crew-based time management and includes four tabs:

  • Clock — view who is clocked in, clock employees in or out, and add per diem

  • Entries — view and edit time card entries

  • Summary — pay period summary view across your crew

  • Review — issues, Photo ID flags, Clock questions, and Per Diem (Performance Plan required)

Use the Select project dropdown at the top to filter the Time tab to a specific project.

The Schedule Tab

Tap Schedule in the bottom navigation bar to view your team's upcoming shifts and assignments. Scheduled shifts created by admins on the web app appear here.

The More Tab

Tap More in the bottom navigation bar to access messages, activity, notifications, settings, and your profile.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

I don't see a project in my list — why?

You must be assigned to a project before it appears in your list. Contact your Account Administrator to be added to the relevant project.

I don't see the Review tab under Time — why?

The Review tab requires the Performance Plan. If your account is not on the Performance Plan, Review will not be visible.

Can I create a project from the mobile app?

Yes. Tap Project tools, then tap Select at the top. Tap the + button in the top right corner of the Select project screen to create a new project.
