Signing your daily report is the final step that officially closes out the day — creating a legally defensible, timestamped record of all field activity. Once signed, reports are automatically distributed to your configured email recipients.

Quick Answer

To sign a daily report, open the project's daily log for the day, click or tap the orange Sign button, draw your signature, and confirm.

How to Sign a Report on the Web

Step 1: Open the Project and Navigate to Daily Logs

Log into the Raken Web App. Click Projects in the left side navigation bar and select your project. Click Daily logs in the left side project menu.

Step 2: Select the Date to Sign

Use the date navigation to select the day. Verify the report is complete before signing.

Step 3: Sign the Report

Click the orange Sign button in the top right corner. Draw your signature in the box using your mouse.

Step 4: Complete

Check Save signature to save it for future use. Click the orange Complete button to finalize.

Note: If the Sign button is greyed out, the report needs at least one entry. Add a quick note, then click Sign.

Step 5: View or Share the Signed Report

Click the Reports button and select Daily to view the signed PDF. Use Email report to share it.

How to Sign a Report on Mobile

Step 2: Navigate to the Daily Log

Tap Daily logs in the Project tools grid and navigate to the day you want to sign.

Step 3: Preview and Sign

Step 4: Draw Your Signature

Use your finger to sign. Check Save signature to save it for future use.

Step 5: Complete

Tap Complete to finalize. Tap View signed report to see the finished PDF.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

The Sign button is greyed out — why?

Raken requires at least one entry before a report can be signed. Add a note, work log, or any other entry, then the Sign button will become active.

I signed the wrong day — can I undo it?

Yes. Open the signed report and click or tap the Unsign button to remove the signature.

Will signing send the report to recipients automatically?

Yes — if you have email recipients configured under Settings > Daily Reporting > Recipients. Recipients set to on sign receive it immediately.

Can someone else sign on my behalf?

Any team member with sign permissions on the project can sign. Account Admins and Project Admins have sign permissions by default.
