Keep your entire project team on the same page about job site progress with the Raken + InEight integration. Seamlessly transfer your Raken daily reports, subcontractor reports, photos, videos, and other PDF attachments into your InEight documents module.

Setup:

  1. Make sure that you have an active project in both InEight and in Raken for the projects that you wish to connect.

  2. Enable Auto-numbering in your InEight project settings. Only the Documents module must be enabled using the trigger "auto".

  3. Create template documents in your InEight project. Specific Template Documents will need to be created in InEight with all of the required fields configured exactly as they should be for a specific document type being transferred from Raken. There are two required templates and two optional templates. All templates should be placed in a "Templates" folder to ensure Raken can find the correct files and to separate the templates from standard project documents.

Note: The template documents must have the document number set to the values below for Raken to correctly identify which document to read metadata from

    1. Required Templates

      1. RAKEN_DAILY_REPORT_TEMPLATE - This is the standard daily report template that will be applied to all types of daily reports if the optional templates are not present.

      2. RAKEN_ATTACHMENT_TEMPLATE - This is the template for all attachments uploaded to the connected Raken project. Bear mind in that attachments could be any of several supported file types (photos, PDFs, Excel, Word, etc.).

    2. Optional Templates:

      1. RAKEN_SUB_DAILY_REPORT_TEMPLATE - If present, this template will be applied to all daily reports submitted by Raken project collaborators (Subcontractors and Trades). If not present, Raken will fall back to the standard daily report template.

      2. RAKEN_SUPER_DAILY_REPORT_TEMPLATE - If present, this template will be applied to the combined daily report documents with both your daily reports and your Subcontractors' reports (Super Daily). If not present, Raken will fall back to the standard daily report template.

Steps - Raken:

  1. Log into the Raken Web App.

  2. Click the "Company" tab at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the "Integrations" tab.

  4. Click on the tile for InEight to open the integration settings.

  5. Click the orange "+ Connect" button in the top right.

  6. Enter your InEight login credentials in the window that appears.

  7. You'll be returned to the "Projects" section of the integration settings, where you'll be able to link your Raken projects to your InEight projects. Simply choose the Raken project, Company Name, and InEight project from the dropdowns and click "+ Configuration".

  8. Repeat step 7 for all projects you would like to connect.

  9. Your Daily Reports, Super Daily Reports, Collaborator Reports, and Project Photos will start syncing for the selected projects for all new content and will be visible in the Document Management folder in InEight, or in the Documents tool in Build.
