Manually exporting data from CMiC and re-entering it in Raken is time-consuming and error-prone. The Raken + CMiC Enterprise integration eliminates that work — automatically keeping your Employees, Projects, Cost Codes, and Classifications in sync, and making payroll exports a single click. The V2 release adds Daily Journal Sync and Project Partners sync for clients who need deeper project management data connectivity.
How the Integration Works
Once integrated, Raken and CMiC sync every 30 minutes to keep your data accurate and current. Your resource lists stay up to date in both systems without manual maintenance.
When it's time to process payroll, you can push Time Cards from Raken back to CMiC with the click of a button.
The integration maps the following data between systems:
CMiC → Raken: Employees, Projects, Cost Codes, Unions and Trades (Classifications), Project Partners (Contact Companies — opt-in)
Raken → CMiC: Time Cards (on-demand export), Daily Reports/Notes/Work Logs/Attachments/Weather as Daily Journals (opt-in)
Integration Setup Process
A Raken Customer Success Manager who specializes in integrations will guide your team through the entire process. Setup is handled collaboratively with a Raken integration specialist — there is no self-serve configuration.
Phase 1: Preparation
A Raken integration specialist will assist your organization in preparing both your CMiC and Raken accounts for the integration and gathering all the information needed for a successful setup.
Phase 2: Onboarding
Your Raken specialist will guide your team through the configuration steps that allow data from CMiC to sync directly with Raken.
Phase 3: Implementation
Your Raken specialist will confirm that all desired data is in Raken and that relevant team members are trained on how to operate Raken using the integration long-term.
