Raken gives you the flexibility to capture breaks in a number of different ways, depending on the requirements for the job or the state you are working in. You may require breaks to be captured by duration, start and end time, or start time and duration.

Steps

Adjusting Break Settings

  1. Log in to the Raken Web App.

  2. Click the Company button on the menu on the left side of the page.

  3. Click Time Settings in the menu that appears.

  4. Select Policies from the sub-menu that appears.

  5. Click the Manage policies button in the top right corner of the page.

  6. Click on the policy for which you would like to adjust the break rules.

  7. Select Breaks from the menu on the left side of the page.

  8. Activate or deactivate the Meal breaks and Rest breaks options using the buttons on the right side of the page.

    1. If you would like to adjust the Default duration, Minimum duration, or Compensation of a break type, you can click the pencil button on the far right side of the page.

  9. Select Settings from the menu on the left side of the page.

  10. In the Break tracking section of the page, you can specify required break details for supervisor entries.

    1. You can choose to require start and end time, require start and duration, or require break duration only.

  11. Click the orange Save button in the top right corner of the page.

  12. Once saved, all employees and projects that are associated with the edited Time Policy will have their time cards managed by the overtime rule.
